There are three games on Friday night in the Samba Nottinghamshire Senior League, supported by Euro Soccer Company. In the Premier Division, AFC Dunkirk welcome Sandiacre Town to the Ron Steel Sports Ground and Eastwood CFC Development host Stapleford Town at the PSUSA 3G Arena, while in Division One, Basford United Community entertain Mansfield Hosiery Mills at Greenwich Avenue.
On Saturday, Premier Division leaders Southwell City follow up their dramatic turnaround at Aslockton & Orston last week, where they won 4-3 with three goals in the last ten minutes, by hosting Calverton Miners Welfare at the War Memorial Ground. Aslockton will look to bounce back with FC Cavaliers the visitors to the Orston Recreation Ground. Awsworth Villa and Cotgrave continue their pusrsuit of top spot as they host Keyworth United at The Shilo and travel to Attenborough’s The Strand respectively. After recording their first league win of the season a fortnight ago, Bilborough Town made it two from two last time out. They will attempt to secure their third three point haul on the trot as they head to Wharf Lane to play Radcliffe Olympic. Gedling Southbank also picked up their first win two weeks ago but were unable to emulate Bilborough and repeat the feat. They welcome Wollaton to Eagle Valley. In Division One, leaders Woodthorpe Park Rangers failed to win for only the second time all season last weekend as they drew 2-2 at Ruddington Village. It’s the return fixture this weekend at Eagle Valley. Second placed Bridgford United slipped up in the local derby with AFC Bridgford last time out. United travel to play Ravenshead at Cornwater while AFC will hope to put in a repeat performance as third placed Burton Joyce visit Gresham Sports Park. In the Samba Nottinghamshire Senior League, supported by Euro Soccer Company, Premier Division team of the month for November and current leaders, Southwell City, travel to Spa Lane to play Aslockton & Orston, who have lost only once in their nine outings since the start of October.
Having scored over five goals in three of their four wins in November, second-placed Awsworth Villa will hope their rich goal scoring form continues as they host Eastwood CFC Development at The Shilo while Cotgrave, in third, welcome AFC Dunkirk to Woodview. The home side won the reverse fixture 3-1 at the start of last month. After bowing out of the Notts FA Senior Cup at the hands of Newark Flowserve last weekend, Stapleford Town return to league action as Keyworth United, who are one place below their hosts in sixth, make the trip to Hickings Lane. Two teams picked up their first wins of the season last weekend, Bilborough Town and Gedling Southbank. They will both hope that their upturn in fortunes continues as they host Attenborough at the Harvey Hadden Stadium and travel to The Forest to play FC Cavaliers respectively. Calverton Miners Welfare, who were on the receiving end as Gedling secured their first maximum points haul, add Scott Miles, Kieron Davies and Charlie Roberts to the squad for their trip to the WSA to play Wollaton. Bilborough’s victims, Magdala Amateurs, will look to bounce back as they entertain Bingham Town at Roko. In Division One, Ravenshead look to get back to winning ways as they host Awsworth Villa Reserves at the Cornwater ground. They welcome back Mark Yates, Brad Martin has returned to UK and is looking for a place in the squad but Paul Smith is away. Leaders Woodthorpe Park Rangers head to Elms Park to take on Ruddington Village and Bridgford United entertain near rivals AFC Bridgford at the Riverside Sports Complex. In Division Two, Ravenshead Reserves travel to Bingham Town Reserves with skipper Lee Pinner out injured but Tyler Martin should return hopefully along with Josh Worrall. Action gets underway tonight in the Samba Nottinghamshire Senior League, supported by Euro Soccer Company, as in the Premier Division Eastwood CFC Development welcome Aslockton & Orston to the Play Soccer USA 3G Arena while Mansfield Hosiery Mills host Beeston at The Fieldings.
On Saturday, there’s a big game in the Nottinghamshire FA Senior Cup as the Notts TV cameras will be at Hickings Lane to see the third placed Stapleford Town take on last season’s NSL champions Newark Flowserve, who now ply their trade in the East Midlands Counties League. In the Premier Division, leaders Southwell City travel to the Ron Steel Sports Ground to play AFC Dunkirk. Radcliffe Olympic, who are in search of a new manager, welcome Awsworth Villa to Wharf Lane. After a spirited first half against higher ranked opposition in the Notts FA Senior Cup in midweek, Bilborough Town were eventually knocked out by Eastwood Community. They will try and bounce back as they head to Roko to play Magdala Amateurs, who left it late to beat FC Cavaliers last week. Cavs themselves will look to make amends on their trip to Butt Field to play Bingham Town. Attenborough and Keyworth United meet at The Strand. In Division One, it’s top versus bottom as Woodthorpe Park Rangers host Radford Reserves at Eagle Valley. Third placed Ravenshead travel to Burton Joyce in fourth. The Reds have Dan Phillips back from injury, Adam Gross returning after an enforced absence whilst new signing from Selston, Adam Lewis, is also expected to travel. Perris Thomas is still a doubt though. Second placed Bridgford United are at Bestwood Miners Welfare. In Division Two, leaders Stapleford Town Reserves travel to Walesby Sports and Social Club to take on Kirton Brickworks Reserves, while AFC Clifton head to Woodview to face Cotgrave Reserves. After last weekend’s defeat, Ravenshead Reserves have Jamie Simons and Tom Lockey back and are set for a recall for their trip to Elms Park to play third placed Ruddington Village Reserves. Alex Marshall is still regaining his fitness after injury and is likely to retain a place on the bench. In the Samba Nottinghamshire Senior League, supported by Euro Soccer Company, Premier Division leaders Southwell City opened up a four point gap at the top of the table with a hard fought win over Wollaton last time out. They will look to consolidate their position as they head to the Play Soccer USA 3G Arena to face Eastwood CFC Development while Wollaton will try to bounce back as they visit Wharf Lane to take on Radcliffe Olympic.
Calverton Miners Welfare’s new signing, Kieron Davies, could make his debut as his side travel to Woodview to play second-placed Cotgrave. Dane Bennett is also added to the squad that came from behind to beat AFC Dunkirk last weekend. Stapleford Town, who have lost only once all season, welcome another form side, in the shape of Aslockton & Orston, who are unbeaten in seven matches in all competitions, to Hickings Lane. Aslockton last lost to Awsworth Villa, who entertain Attenborough at The Shilo. After going on a six game winning run in the league, Keyworth United have lost their last two. They will hope to start picking up points again as they head to St Giles to play Sandiacre Town. The two teams that beat Keyworth recently are Magdala Amateurs and FC Cavaliers, who meet at Roko. AFC Dunkirk host Bilborough Town, who are still searching for their first league win of the campaign, at the Ron Steel Sports Ground. In Division One, leaders Woodthorpe Park Rangers dropped their first points of the season last week in a draw with Burton Joyce. They will look to get back to winning ways as they welcome Basford United Community to Eagle Valley. Burton Joyce are in Nottinghamshire FA Senior Trophy action, alongside a number of other NSL clubs. BJ are one of only two clubs who are playing a team from outside the league though as they host United Greys at the Poplars while Robin Hood Colts travel to Trent Vineyard. In the all-NSL ties, Bestwood Miners Welfare entertain Beeston, Kirton Brickworks welcome Ruddington Village Reserves to Station Road and Bridgford United travel to Hickings Lane to play Stapleford Town Reserves. In Division Two, Ravenshead Reserves entertain Cotgrave, who inflicted a 10-goal defeat on them in the reverse fixture just over five weeks ago, at Cornwater. Levi Brentnall scored twice on his debut last weekend and is joined by returning skipper Lee Pinner, although Jamie Simons is away. In the Samba Nottinghamshire Senior League, supported by Euro Soccer Company, Premier Division leaders Southwell City have had their advantage cut to just one point. They will attempt to keep their noses in front as Wollaton make the trip to the war Memorial Ground. Second placed Cotgrave will be looking to leapfrog Southwell with a positive result as they travel to The Shilo to take on fourth placed Awsworth Villa.
Keyworth United lost for the first time in seven league matches last weekend. They will try to consolidate third place when they host FC Cavaliers at Platt Lane. It was Magdala Amateurs who defeated Keyworth for their third win on the trot. They meet another of the division’s form sides as Aslockton & Orston are unbeaten in their last six heading into their encounter at Spa Lane. Stapleford Town are celebrating being permanently back at their spiritual home of Hickings Lane, with bottom club Gedling Southbank the visitors. Bilborough Town are just above Gedling and battled to hold onto their third point of the season with a 2-2 draw at Eastwood CFC Development last weekend. Bilborough welcome Sandiacre Town to the Harvey Hadden Stadium while Eastwood head to Wharf Lane to play Radcliffe Olympic. Calverton Miners Welfare, bolstered by new signings Keiron Davies and Adam Whitehead, entertain AFC Dunkirk at Hollinwood Lane and Attenborough host Bingham Town at The Strand. In Division One, there’s a repeat of last season’s Junior Cup final as leaders Woodthorpe Park Rangers host Burton Joyce at Eagle Valley. Bridgford United have a goalkeeping decision to make after their debutant last week against Ruddington Village performed well. New signing Kyle Pemberton will definitely keep his place in the side for the match at The Fieldings against Mansfield Hosiery Mills after netting a brace on his first appearance. Another new signing, Emmanuel Nduku, also makes the squad. Ravenshead must wait to learn whether Dan Phillips and Ryan Towle are fit for the visit of Bestwood Miners Welfare to Cornwater. Mark Yates is available again but Perris Thomas is definitely missing through injury. New signing Adam Gross impressed on his debut and is likely to keep his place. Southwell City Reserves travel to Station Road to play Kirton Brickworks and Basford United Community welcome Radford Reserves to Greenwich Avenue. In Division Two, Ravenshead Reserves travel to Roko to play Magdala Amateurs Reserves still smarting from last week’s heavy loss to Keyworth United Development. A number of changes could be made with Josh Worrall and Callum Disley available again. Mitchell Travers turned out for the first team last weekend but is expected to feature for the Reserves this time out. Kane Pearson and Joe Gunn will be leading the charge for AFC Top Valley again, when they head to Butt Field to play Bingham Town Reserves, after they netted four and three goals respectively last weekend. Kirton Brickworks Reserves picked up their first win of the campaign last week. They will try to follow that up as they make the trip to the Brian Wakefield Memorial Ground to play Nottingham Community. Sneinton Town are still searching for their first points with Newark Flowserve Reserves the visitors to Gresham Sports Park. Action in the Samba Nottinghamshire Senior League, supported by Euro Soccer Company, gets underway on Friday night as, in the Premier Division, Eastwood CFC Development entertain Bilborough Town at the Play Soccer USA 3G Arena while, in Division One, Mansfield Hosiery Mills host Basford United Community at The Fieldings. Mansfield will be producing their first ever league programme for the match.
On Saturday in the Premier Division, leaders Southwell City visit Hickings Lane to take on Stapleford Town who have lost only once so far this season. Stapleford have played at least three fewer matches than the four teams above them and, if they won all their games in hand, would be sat at the top of the table, so they will be viewing this as a test of their title credentials. Second placed Cotgrave will look to capitalise on any slip up by Southwell as they welcome Wollaton to Woodview while third placed Keyworth United will be trying to make it seven league wins on the spin when they visit Roko to play Magdala Amateurs. Harry Simpson and George Scrivener return to the Calverton Miners Welfare squad, that narrowly lost to Bingham Town last time out, for the visit of Gedling Southbank to Hollinwood Lane. Bingham, fresh from an incident packed extra time loss to Southwell in the NSL Senior Cup in midweek, make the short trip to Spa Lane to face an Aslockton & Orston side that have won their last five in all competitions. FC Cavaliers host Attenborough at the Forest Sports Zone and Radcliffe Olympic welcome AFC Dunkirk to Wharf Lane. In Division One, Ravenshead travel to the WSA to play Wollaton Reserves with a number of absentees. Brad Martin, Liam Walton and last weekend’s match winner, Perris Thomas, are all definitely out while Ryan Towle faces a fitness battle. The Reds have given 7 days’ notice for a defender they hope to include though. Leaders Woodthorpe Park Rangers entertain Kimberley Miners Welfare Reserves at Eagle Valley. Bridgford United and Southwell City Reserves are trying to keep pace with Woodthorpe. They visit Ruddington Village and host Beeston respectively. In Division Two, Ravenshead Reserves travel to Platt Lane to face Keyworth Development and could give a debut to Paul Logan. The Reds hope Tyler Lambert will return while 16 year old Ben Marples retains his place at Dan Hurst’s expense. AFC Top Valley will look to make it three league wins on the trot as they head to Eagle Valley to play Gedling Southbank Reserves while leaders Stapleford Town Reserves will try to bounce back from only their second defeat of the season last weekend as they travel to Balderton to play Elston United. Action in the Samba Nottinghamshire Senior League, supported by Euro Soccer Company, gets underway on Friday night with Cotgrave attempting to move into first place by winning on their visit to the Ron Steel Sports Ground to play AFC Dunkirk.
Keyworth United beat Dunkirk in midweek, they will look to repeat the feat as they host Wollaton under the Platt Lane lights. On Saturday, if Cotgrave do take top spot, their stay will be short lived if Southwell City bounce back from their second defeat of the season last weekend, to Bingham Town, as they welcome Attenborough to the War Memorial Ground. Bingham will look to build on their impressive performance last time out as Calverton Miners Welfare visit Butt Field. Awsworth Villa haven’t won in their last four outings in all competitions, a run that has seen them slip to fifth in the table. They will try and get back on track as bottom side Gedling Southbank head to The Shilo. Radcliffe Olympic are another team that have struggled for form recently, they face a tougher proposition with FC Cavaliers coming to Wharf Lane. Aslockton & Orston welcome Sandiacre Town to Spa Lane and Bilborough Town entertain Magdala Amateurs at the Harvey Hadden Stadium. In Division One, leaders Woodthorpe Park Rangers travel to Station Road to take on Kirton Brickworks, while second place Bridgford United will attempt to capitalise on any Woodthorpe slip up when they host Basford United Community at Highfields. Following a run of four draws, Ravenshead recorded three points last weekend, they will hope this now becomes the norm as they travel to Gresham Sports Park to play AFC Bridgford. In Division Two, leaders Stapleford Town Reserves will attempt to extend their eight point lead as they welcome Newark Flowserve Reserves to Hickings Lane. Second placed Ruddington Village Reserves will have other ideas, however, as Clifton All Whites Development visit Elms Park. AFC Clifton are another side wanting to make a dent in Stapleford’s lead, they entertain Gedling Southbank Reserves at Charnwood Sports Centre. Burton Joyce and Robin Hood Colts are in Notts FA Senior Trophy action, travelling to Blidworth Red and hosting New Brook 18 respectively. In the Samba Nottinghamshire Senior League, supported by Euro Soccer Company, Premier Division leaders Southwell City have scored eight in each of their last two league outings. Bingham Town won’t want to see that repeated as they welcome them to Butt Field.
On the subject of scoring eight goals, Awsworth Villa were humbled by Magdala Amateurs in their last league match, a defeat which saw them slip to fourth below Cotgrave, who they meet at Woodview. Calverton Miners Welfare, who knocked Awsworth out of the Notts FA Senior Cup in midweek on penalties, welcome Ryan Easom and Alex Clarson back to the squad for their trip to The Strand to face Attenborough. Dane Bennett will miss out through suspension, however. Eastwood CFC Development will attempt to end a run of three straight defeats in all competitions as they head to St Giles to play Sandiacre Town while Keyworth United host Radcliffe Olympic at Platt Lane. Aslockton & Orston will be looking to keep their three game winning run going as they visit bottom club Gedling Southbank at Eagle Valley and Wollaton welcome Bilborough Town to the WSA. After an impressive win over higher-tier opposition in the Notts FA Senior Cup in midweek, Stapleford Town are in NSL Senior Cup action this time as they travel to the Ron Steel Sports Ground to play AFC Dunkirk. In Division One, the majority of teams have Notts FA Senior Trophy ties, including second placed Bridgford United, who welcome Jourdan Blair back following a three game suspension, for their trip to Hollinwood Lane to play AFC Top Valley. There are three league matches, with leaders Woodthorpe Park Rangers entertaining Wollaton Reserves at Eagle Valley, Ravenshead travel to Southwell City Reserves with a question mark over Brad Martin’s availability, Ryan Faulconbridge returns while top scorer Martin McDonagh is pushing for a recall after impressing off the bench last time out, and Mansfield Hosiery Mills welcome Ruddington Village to The Fieldings. Amongst the matches in Division Two, Ravenshead Reserves host Newark Flowserve Reserves at Cornwater and have Dan Hurst available following a ban, but he may have to settle for a place on the bench as 16 year old debutant Ben Marples excelled in his place last weekend. Action in the Premier Division of the Nottinghamshire Senior League gets underway on Friday night with Sandiacre Town hosting their local rivals Stapleford Town at St Giles. Sandiacre staged a stunning late comeback a week ago to beat Radcliffe Olympic 3-2; Stapleford are looking to continue their upward momentum having only lost once all season.
There’s a local derby under lights in Division One too as Mansfield Hosiery Mills welcome Ravenshead to The Fieldings. The visitors have Joe Maguire, Mark Yates and Martin McDonagh all back after missing last weekend’s cup exploits but Liam Walton is still injured. Mansfield have a new manager, Paul McFarland, after Dom Witton opted to take to the pitch once again as player/assistant. On Saturday in the Premier Division, Calverton Miners Welfare will attempt to arrest a run of four straight defeats, all by a single goal, as Radcliffe Olympic visit Hollinwood Lane. Scott Miles, Jason Hodson, Harry Simpson and Adam Limb are added to the Calvo squad but Matthew Hill and Matthew Newton will be missing. Awsworth Villa will try and close the gap to leaders Southwell City as they head to Roko to play Magdala Amateurs while Cotgrave will have designs on Villa’s second place as Bilborough Town visit Woodview. Attenborough entertain Wollaton at The Strand with the visitors hoping their recent new additions continue to have a positive impact on the side. Having scored eight goals in each of their last two outings, Southwell City are in Notts FA Senior Cup action away at Welbeck Lions. In the second round of the NSL Senior Cup, Aslockton & Orston meet in an all-Premier Division tie, Ruddington Village will look to cause an upset as they host FC Cavaliers at Elms Park and in a Division One battle AFC Bridgford welcome Beeston to Gresham. In league action in Division One, leaders Bridgford United entertain Southwell City Reserves at Highfields. Second placed Woodthorpe Park Rangers have had a break from league matches due to various cup competitions but they’re back on Saturday, looking to maintain their 100% record as they travel to Greenwich Avenue to take on Basford United Community. In Division Two, Ravenshead Reserves entertain Gedling Southbank Reserves with Tyler Lambert facing a fitness test but Jamie Vaughan should return whilst Dan Hurst is suspended. In the Nottinghamshire Senior League Premier Division, leaders Southwell City surrendered their 100% record last week at the hands of Awsworth Villa. City will attempt to get back on track with a trip to The Strand to face Attenborough, while Villa will try to capitalise on any further slips by Southwell to leapfrog into top spot if they get a favourable result against Bingham Town at The Shilo.
Cotgrave could actually be in first place before either of those matches if they win against Magdala Amateurs at Woodview on Friday evening. Also in action under Friday night lights are Sandiacre Town, who welcome Radcliffe Olympic to St Giles. Stapleford Town are another team whose 100% record went last week. They will look to make amends as they make the trip to Eagle Valley to play bottom club Gedling Southbank. Calverton Miners Welfare welcome Scott Miles, Harry Simpson and Barry Payne back into the squad for the visit of Aslockton & Orston to Hollinwood Lane, as they look to arrest a run of three defeats in all competitions. FC Cavaliers and Bilborough Town meet at The Forest. After a heart-breaking extra-time defeat in the Nottinghamshire FA Trophy last weekend, Division Two leaders Woodthorpe Park Rangers are again in knock-out action, this time the NSL Senior Cup. They travel to the WSA to face Premier Division side Wollaton. Division One Ravenshead will also be looking to cause an upset as they head to Platt Lane to take on Keyworth United. Mark Yates will be rested for the Reds. Captain Josh Broad and midfielder Adam Martin are both likely to return to the side, however, while Joe Maguire faces a late fitness test. Second placed Bridgford United and third placed Basford United Community will look to take advantage of Woodthorpe being in cup action as they host Mansfield Hosiery Mills at Highfields and travel to Southwell City Reserves’ War Memorial Ground respectively. In Division Two, Ravenshead Reserves could field up to six 16 year olds in their game against Cotgrave Reserves at Woodview. They also have the returning Lee Pinner (holiday) and Jamie Simons (injury) available. Unbeaten so far, AFC Clifton hope that continues in the NSL Junior Cup as they travel to Roko to play Magdala Amateurs Reserves. Jordan Sharpe returns for Clifton after a ban and top scorer Connor Boulton will be looking to add to his nine goals from nine games so far. |
