In the Precision Nottinghamshire Senior League Premier Division none of the top four were in action. Unity crept into fifth with a 0-0 draw at home to AFC Dunkirk.
The last time Bingham Town and Real United met the latter grabbed a share of the spoils with an equaliser from their goalkeeper with the last kick of the game. It was a different story this time, however, as Real ran out 5-1 winners. The division’s second highest scorer, Tim Hopkinson, was on target twice, alongside efforts from Jamie Spiers, Tyrell Shannon-Lewis and Ryan Tittensor. Tom Spencer scored for Bingham from the penalty spot. Bilborough Town were also 5-1 winners, away at Burton Joyce. Jake Kane put Town ahead before Marc Buckle, who later left the game with a broken ankle, equalised. Lyam Webster (2), Ricky Cross and Chris Roome went on to seal the victory for Bilborough. Newark Flowserve continued their resurgent 2016 with a 2-1 win at Underwood Villa that takes them to within a point of Cotgrave in 16th, with a game in hand. In Division One, Magdala Amateurs remain second despite a heavy 3-0 defeat at the hands of Bilborough United, United’s goals coming from Muncaster, England and Dyer. Fourth placed Ruddington Village Reserves drew at home to fifth placed Ashland Rovers at Elms Park, the Village goal coming from Dunstan with Revuelta replying for the Rovers. Calverton Miners Welfare moved up a couple of places in the table after a 5-3 home win over Southwell City Reserves, with Bennett scoring a hat trick and Bradwell scoring a brace. An Abbott goal was just the difference when Aspley Park beat Kimberley Miners Welfare 1-0, whilst biggest scorers of the day were Nottinghamshire who hammered Linby Colliery Welfare Reserves 9-1 at Grassington Road, through goals by Cairns(2), Betts(2), Groves(2), Greensmith, Brittan and Seagrave, whilst Linby's goal came from Guy. The Division Two title race is still wide open but Watnall Athletic did themselves no harm when winning away at Cotgrave Reserves 4-0 on Friday evening, with Brookes leading the scoring with two and Ward and Wilson finishing off the scoring. Sam Winch and Daniel Blanchard put Village two up by half time. Daniel Starbuck extended the lead on the hour mark before Ryan Clements pulled one back for BJ. But it was only brief respite for the visitors before Marvin Hudson and Daniel Cocks finished off the scoring for Rudd. Third placed Wollaton are now two points behind Ruddington after they snatched a late draw in a dramatic game against Bilborough Town. Wollaton took a 3-0 lead into the break thanks to Scott Litchfield (2) and Sean Green. Bilborough were not prepared to roll over though and Tony Law, an Ian Jackson penalty and Jake Kane got them back on level terms after 75 minutes. The hosts didn’t stop there and the remarkable turnaround continued when Tommy Street put the hosts 4-3 ahead with 10 minutes to go. With time running out Wollaton salvaged a point as they were awarded a penalty that Litchfield dispatched to complete his hat-trick, his fourth in four games since returning to the club. The last time Awsworth Villa and Bingham Town met it was a six goal thriller with Town grabbing a late equaliser. The same number of goals were scored this time but it was a more one-sided affair with Awsworth running out 6-0 winners.
