As the weather continues to play havoc with fixtures, in one of only three matches played in the Premier Division of the Samba Nottinghamshire Senior League, supported by Euro Soccer Company, Bingham Town beat Burton Joyce 4-1 to both avenge an opening day defeat and to move three points clear at the top. A Euan Sweeting double opened the scoring for Bingham, Jake Hardy and Tom Spencer got the third and fourth before Ricky Gardner picked up a consolation for Burton Joyce.
Elsewhere, Awsworth Villa beat Eastwood CFC Development 2-0 with goals from Tommy Street and Ben Watson and Sandiacre Town drew 0-0 for the fourth time in six matches, this time against Aslockton & Orston. Ravenshead were the big winners in Division One, seeing off Radford Reserves 8-1 with a hat-trick from Martin McDonagh, a goal each for the old guard of Paul Smith, Chris Bovey and Mark Yates, and Perris Thomas and Joshua Broad also on target. Obinna Abuka replied for Radford. Ruddington Village consolidated their claim over second place with a 3-2 win against Kimberley Miners Welfare Reserves while Wollaton Reserves edged past Robin Hood Colts 2-1. Hucknall Town Development and Kirton Brickworks drew 2-2. Keyworth United Reserves are into the final of the Nottinghamshire FA Senior Trophy after seeing off Nottingham 3-0. Thomas Siswick set them on their way and a Conor Pauley brace sealed the victory. Unfortunately the NSL’s West Bridgford AFC won’t be joining Keyworth in the final after they went down 3-1 to FC Sez. Eight Samba Nottinghamshire Senior League, supported by Euro Soccer Company, fixtures survived the onslaught of Storm Dennis. In the Premier Division, AFC Dunkirk moved up to third with a 3-1 win at Calverton Miners Welfare, thanks to goals from Luis Parkes, Jacob Consterdine and Omojiseoluwa Bankole. Substitute Dalton Stephens replied for Calvo.
Sandiacre Town and Woodthorpe Park Rangers drew a blank while Eastwood CFC Development recorded their first point since the end of October in a 1-1 draw with FC Cavaliers. Isaac Anderson notched for Eastwood with Max McLeod on target for Cavs. In Division One, Radcliffe Olympic moved up to fifth, three points behind their opponents Beeston but with three games in hand, following a 2-1 win. Nick Levack and Joe Hegarty put Olympic two to the good, Roland Tomlinson halved the arrears for Beeston but it was ultimately too little, too late. Robin Hood Colts came from two down against Kirton Brickworks to salvage a draw. Jamie Charlton and Ryan Ashley gave The Brickies the lead but a Jake Smith double, the second from the penalty spot, ensured the points were shared. Bridgford United got the better of Wollaton Reserves 7-3. In Division Two, Elston United came from behind to beat Stapleford Town Reserves 3-2. Jake Shepherd put The Saxons ahead but Ethan Jones equalised before a Kieran Adams brace gave Elston an unassailable lead, despite James Aspinall’s late strike. Cotgrave Reserves avenged last week’s 7-1 drubbing at the hands of Pythian by beating them 1-0 away this week. 18 year-old Harry Trenham came off the bench to grab the winner. In the Samba Nottinghamshire Senior League, supported by Euro Soccer Company, Premier Division leaders Southwell City will attempt to keep their noses in front when they travel to Platt Lane to take on Keyworth United. Bingham Town are in second, on the same number of points as Southwell but with two games in hand. They welcome Wollaton to Butt Field.
If both of the top two lose, Burton Joyce can join them on 48 points with a win against Magdala Amateurs at Roko, while Woodthorpe Park Rangers will be looking to break into the top three as they head to St Giles to play Sandiacre Town. Calverton Miners Welfare will be without the suspended Corey Ashley and Dane Bennett as they welcome AFC Dunkirk to Hollinwood Lane. Cotgrave, who have lost only once in their last 10 outings, travel to The Shilo to take on Awsworth Villa, who only have one win from their last six games. Aslockton & Orston and Stapleford Town meet at Bilborough College and Attenborough's new management team will be attempting to keep up their 100% record since taking charge as they host Bilborough Town at The Strand. FC Cavaliers and Eastwood CFC Development both go in search of their third win of the campaign when they meet at the Forest Sports Zone. In Division One, Ravenshead play at home to Radford Reserves and have last season's captain Josh Broad back in the squad following his midweek transfer from Awsworth. The Reds have a trio of ex-Radford players in their ranks with Martin McDonagh and brothers Keenan and Anthony Edwards looking to start, along with Perris Thomas and Joe Maguire who have also recently just re-joined the Cornwater outfit. Leaders AFC Top Valley host fourth-placed West Bridgford AFC at Eagle Valley while second-placed Ruddington Village head to the Memorial Ground to take on Southwell City Reserves and third-placed Beeston visit South Notts Academy to play Radcliffe Olympic. In Division Two, leaders United Grays travel to Butt Field to play Bingham Town Reserves while second-placed Ruddington Village Reserves, who are six points behind but with four games in hand, make the journey to the Harvey Hadden Sports Complex to play bottom side Bilborough Town Community. ,The current Press Officer of the Samba Nottinghamshire Senior League has indicated his intention to step down at the end of the current season. As such, the league are on the lookout for a person or persons to help out with match previews and reports straight away with a view to taking over the position in the summer.

Southwell City Reserves beat Hucknall Town Reserves 2-0. In Division Two, Ruddington Village Reserves suffered their first defeat of the season as a Jay Copper double for Asha saw them to a 2-1 win. That allowed United Grays to extend their lead to six points with a 5-0 win at Burton Joyce Reserves, including a Tyrone Gray brace. Stapleford Town Reserves missed the chance to take second place as they went down 4-1 to AFC Dunkirk Reserves while Thomas Siswick scored three and Matt Webster two for Keyworth United Reserves as they came away from Ravenshead Reds with a 7-2 win. Pythian also notched seven, seeing off Cotgrave Reserves 7-1, including two goals for both Jack Storrie and Michael Lindsay. Ryan Mills scored four for Clifton All Whites Development but it wasn’t enough to claim all three points as they ultimately drew 6-6 with Barrowby. Elston United won 4-2 against Beeston Old Boys Association and Bingham Town Reserves overcame Bilborough Town Community 5-0. Woodthorpe Park Rangers consolidated third place with a 4-0 in over Awsworth Villa thanks to doubles from Connor Carter and Markell Bailey while AFC Dunkirk slipped up at home to Wollaton, going down 1-0 with Steve Ahern getting the only goal of the game. A hat-trick from Josh Gardner helped Burton Joyce on their way to a 5-3 win against Cotgrave. Reece Campbell and Macauley Tinsley were also on target; Lucus Cotterill with a hat-trick of his own in reply. The dubious goals panel might be called into action as Ryan Tinsley is claiming he scored both goals in Keyworth United’s 2-1 win over Aslockton & Orston where the first is currently officially listed as an own goal. James Hallam netted for The Cranmers. Stapleford Town won 3-1 at Calverton Miners Welfare in their first game since parting with Adam Campbell as manager. The Saxons’ goals were shared between Joel Howes, Junior Rodriguez and Jack Upton. Attenborough’s new management team maintained their 100% start by coming out of a topsy-turvy game against Magdala Amateurs as 3-2 winners with goals from Jamie Hannis, Sam Poole and Chris Beighton. Tom Lawson and Ryan MacMillan were The Budgies’ scorers. FC Cavaliers doubled their win tally for the season by seeing off Bilborough Town 3-0 thanks to Zibusiso Sibanda (2) and Blessing Adeleye, going above their opponents in the table in the process. AFC Top Valley continued their imperious form in Division One as Joe Gunn and Nathan Atkins gave them a 2-0 win at Kirton Brickworks. Ruddington Village are up to second after they won 3-1 at Wollaton Reserves while West Bridgford AFC suffered a 1-0 home reverse at the hands of Southwell City Reserves. Gedling Southbank are up to fifth following a 3-0 win over Radford Reserves and Bridgford United made it back-to-back wins as a Tony Wilson brace helped them to a 3-2 victory at Kimberley Miners Welfare Reserves. Macauley Spencer (2) and Joshua Henry put Hucknall Town Development three to the good at Robin Hood Colts but the home side fought back through Nathan Taylor, Mark Barnaby and Jordan Smith to claim a share of the spoils in a game that finished nine-a-side. In Division Two, with leaders United Grays drawing 2-2 at Clifton All Whites Development, Ruddington Village Reserves closed the gap to three points with four games in hand with a 3-2 win over Barrowby. Stapleford Town Reserves stayed in touch with a the top two with a 5-1 win over Bingham Town Reserves that included a brace for James Aspinall while Tom Siswick also bagged two for Keyworth United Reserves as they overcame Asha 5-2. Macauley Read scored a hat-trick on debut to give Cotgrave Reserves a 3-0 win at home to Burton Joyce Reserves while Ravenshead Reds won 2-1 at Bilborough Town Community.
