On Monday 29 June four members of the Nottinghamshire FA Referee Development Group - Ibrahim Arsali, Kenwyn Hughes, Simon Kells and Alistair Nelson - along with two assessors Robin Bourne and Precision NSL Referees' Secretary Darrell Parkes, will be heading to the IberCup international football competition in Estoril, Portugal.
The competition will provide the refereeing team with new challenges as they look to communicate with non-English speaking players, different playing cultures, heat/humidity and a demanding schedule which will bring physical and mental challenges. Last year proved, and this year will be no different, that over the week officials will learn a lot of new skills both on and off the field of play which they will be able to bring back and share with others and hopefully enhance their own personal performances heading into the forthcoming season. The Nottinghamshire Senior League wishes the officials well and looks forward to them bringing the benefit of their experiences to NSL matches during the upcoming campaign. Player registration, transfer and match report form are now available for secretaries to download from the new 'Forms' area of the website.
The Precision Nottinghamshire Senior League would like to congratulate Jeremy Millenstead of Wollaton FC for winning the Nottinghamshire Disability Football Family Senior Player of the Year Award 2015.
Jeremy has been invited to collect his award, as worthy recognition of his club's efforts throughout the season, at the Nottinghamshire FA Awards Evening at The Village Hotel on Friday 19 June. Following the meeting of the FA Leagues Committee on Tuesday 9 June it has been confirmed that Clifton All Whites and Real United have had their applications to join the Precision Nottinghamshire Senior League approved. Likewise it has been agreed that Selston and Keyworth United's applications to move laterally to the Central Midlands League can go ahead.
Proposed constitutions for the forthcoming season, 2015/16, can now be prepared in readiness for the league AGM on Thursday 25 June. The NSL wishes Selston and Keyworth United well in their new endeavours and bid a warm welcome to Clifton All Whites and Real United. The league has been informed that the FA will be meeting on Tuesday 9 June to finalise the movements of clubs at Step 7 level. The Nottinghamshire Senior League will have to wait until the outcome of this meeting is known before it can put together its proposed constitution for 2015/16.
The 2015 Precision Nottinghamshire Senior League AGM will be at 8pm on Thursday 25 June at Wollaton Sports Association (home ground of Wollaton FC).
