Magdala Amateurs FC are looking to recruit people to roles on the Management Committee and roles for Team Management for season 2018/19. Formed in 1904, Magdala are the second oldest amateurs club in Nottinghamshire and currently play in the county's premier competition, the Samba Nottinghamshire Senior League. The Budgies play in West Bridgford and operate two Saturday senior teams and one Veterans team. Team Management roles are available for the Saturday side. Existing Committee members will provide support to help anyone who hasn’t done a Committee role previously. Existing managers will help anyone wishing to join the team management. Radford FC are looking for teams to take part in their 5-a-side Community Cup tournament this coming MayCotgrave FC are sad to announce that former Chairman and club stalwart Dave Collis passed away on Monday evening.
Dave joined the club as a committee member 2000/01 season when he was a valued member of the club, involved in fundraising, ground assistant and many other activities. He became chairman of the club in 2006 until 2010. He was always available on match days, ensuring the pitch was in good order, nets up, pitch well marked, always gave a warm welcome to match officials, and opponents always liked to chat after the game in the welfare. After standing down as chairman he continued working for the club and was always always available to help out in any situation. Dave was a great fundraiser for the club helping with the lottery sales. He took on the role of lottery promoter in 2008, selling tickets every weekend until his passing on Monday evening. Dave was popular and well liked by all within the club and will be greatly missed. Our thoughts are with Dave’s family at this sad time. RIP Dave. Cotgrave FC. In memory of Dave there will be a minute’s silence before all Samba Nottinghamshire Senior League fixtures this coming weekend. Magdala Amateurs are looking to add players to their squad as they build for the forthcoming Nottinghamshire Senior League Premier Division campaign. The club are also launching a reserve side that will feature in NSL Division Two and provide a pathway to the first team. Pre-season training starts on 29 June and continues every Tuesday and Thursday until the season starts in mid-August. Home games take place at Roko on Wilford Lane in West Bridgford. Following a successful first season in the Precision Nottinghamshire Senior League Premier Division, Sandiacre Town are on the lookout for new players to join their squad for 2017/18. Sandiacre have an ethos of development and progression with a burgeoning youth section running alongside the adult squad. All coaches are FA qualified and they wish to further strengthen their first team. Any interested players should contact Craig Comery on 07976 274781 or via [email protected] Dunkirk’s youth team had to beat Matlock Town, Ilkeston, Lincoln City and Alfreton Town just to reach the first round proper of the FA Youth Cup. They then added a Football League team to their list of scalps as they defeated Coventry City 3-2 in extra-time with 10 men to set up a tie with Mansfield Town in round two.
With a number of the players also featuring in men’s football for AFC Dunkirk, in the Premier Division of the Precision Nottinghamshire Senior League, joint managers Craig Clark and Dave Robinson are hoping they can draw on this experience when they travel to the One Call Stadium on Tuesday evening, 15 November, kick off 7.45pm. The second round is already further than Dunkirk have progressed in the competition before but they won’t be going to Mansfield to make up the numbers as they attempt to keep their record-breaking adventure going. Having seen off Matlock Town, Ilkeston, Lincoln City and Alfreton Town in the qualifying rounds of the FA Youth Cup the youth team of Dunkirk have been handed a plum tie at home to Coventry City.
It is the first time the club has reached this stage of the competition and they will be grateful for all support as they attempt to further extend their adventure. The match takes place this Friday evening, 4 November, at the Ron Steel Sports Ground on Lenton Lane, kick-off 7.30pm. Following a dramatic 5-4 extra time victory at Lincoln City in the last round, the youth team of AFC Dunkirk have been drawn at home to Conference North team Alfreton Town in the 3rd qualifying round of the FA Youth Cup.
The tie will be played on Tuesday 18 October but, due to work being undertaken on the floodlights at Dunkirk's home ground, Clifton All Whites will play host at the Norman Archer Memorial Ground. Kick-off is 7.45pm, all support would be appreciated. Beeston FC of the Precision Nottinghamshire Senior League are looking for a manager for their first team.
