Action in the Samba Nottinghamshire Senior League, supported by Euro Soccer Company, gets underway on Friday night with Cotgrave attempting to move into first place by winning on their visit to the Ron Steel Sports Ground to play AFC Dunkirk.
Keyworth United beat Dunkirk in midweek, they will look to repeat the feat as they host Wollaton under the Platt Lane lights. On Saturday, if Cotgrave do take top spot, their stay will be short lived if Southwell City bounce back from their second defeat of the season last weekend, to Bingham Town, as they welcome Attenborough to the War Memorial Ground. Bingham will look to build on their impressive performance last time out as Calverton Miners Welfare visit Butt Field. Awsworth Villa haven’t won in their last four outings in all competitions, a run that has seen them slip to fifth in the table. They will try and get back on track as bottom side Gedling Southbank head to The Shilo. Radcliffe Olympic are another team that have struggled for form recently, they face a tougher proposition with FC Cavaliers coming to Wharf Lane. Aslockton & Orston welcome Sandiacre Town to Spa Lane and Bilborough Town entertain Magdala Amateurs at the Harvey Hadden Stadium. In Division One, leaders Woodthorpe Park Rangers travel to Station Road to take on Kirton Brickworks, while second place Bridgford United will attempt to capitalise on any Woodthorpe slip up when they host Basford United Community at Highfields. Following a run of four draws, Ravenshead recorded three points last weekend, they will hope this now becomes the norm as they travel to Gresham Sports Park to play AFC Bridgford. In Division Two, leaders Stapleford Town Reserves will attempt to extend their eight point lead as they welcome Newark Flowserve Reserves to Hickings Lane. Second placed Ruddington Village Reserves will have other ideas, however, as Clifton All Whites Development visit Elms Park. AFC Clifton are another side wanting to make a dent in Stapleford’s lead, they entertain Gedling Southbank Reserves at Charnwood Sports Centre. Burton Joyce and Robin Hood Colts are in Notts FA Senior Trophy action, travelling to Blidworth Red and hosting New Brook 18 respectively. Comments are closed.
