In the Nottinghamshire Senior League it is the quarter-final stage of the Senior Cup. Wollaton host runaway league leaders Newark Flowserve at the WSA hoping to avenge the two losses they have suffered in their league encounters. The last of those was three weeks ago where Wollaton were the first team to have taken a lead against Newark since the end of August. Sam Agar, James Cullingworth and Lee Potts have been added to the visitors’ squad since that match.
After making into the Notts FA Intermediate Cup final last week, at Calverton Miners Welfare’s expense, Bingham Town hope for similar success as they welcome First Division Ashland Rovers to Butt Field. Underwood Villa and Kimberley Miners Welfare AFC will be looking for respite from their league struggles as they meet at Bracken Park. Attenborough will be hoping to emulate Bingham in their Notts FA Intermediate Cup semi-final, postponed from last week, at Sherwood Colliery Reserves’ Debdale Park. In the Premier Division it’s third versus second as FC Cavaliers entertain Awsworth Villa at the Forest Sports Zone. Bilborough Town will be looking to kick start their season having made a few experienced signings as they welcome Cotgrave to the Harvey Hadden Stadium. Basford United Community will be trying to bounce back from defeats in their last two outings as they head to St Giles to take on Sandiacre Town and AFC Dunkirk make the trip to Hollinwood Lane to face Gedling Southbank. In Division One, AFC Bridgford welcome back first choice goalkeeper Adam Bass for the clash against Kirton Brickworks. The squad will be looking to arrest a string of previous defeats against the team from NG22 as they host at Gresham Park. Captain Kane Wilson is keen to turn performances in to points following last week’s narrow loss to Awsworth Villa Reserves. Raveshead have a number of absentees as they travel to the War Memorial Ground to take on Southwell City Reserves. Chris Bovey, Paul Smith and Dan Phillips are all away whilst Luke Williams is definitely out injured and Mark White is rated 50/50. David Gibson is in line for a debut and a new signing could return to the club prior to the game. In an all-NSL Notts FA Junior Cup tie Stapleford Town entertain Newark Flowserve Reserves at Greenwich Avenue, Basford, while Woodthorpe Park Rangers travel to Manton Colliery to face Polonia Nottingham United.
