Wollaton extended their lead at the top of the Precision NSL Senior Division to eight points after winning away at Sandhurst 3-0 with a brace from Bowen and Rawson adding a goal. The title is now Wollaton’s to lose as they require only a further seven points from their last four games to secure the championship.
Selston moved up to second place with a 3-1 home victory over Awsworth Villa with goals coming from Smith, Airey and Marriott, with the visitors scoring through Henson. The battle of the A52 saw Bingham Town take the bragging rights after a 2-0 home win against West Bridgford with Hodgson scoring both the goals. Fourth placed Cotgrave gained a 4-2 win over PMG Cavaliers with goals from Mills, Gray, Jackson and Tustin. Samuels got both of Cavs’ goals. Attenborough made it eight league wins on the trot in disposing of Keyworth United 2-1 at The Strand, their goals coming from Blewitt and Mrvik with Perkins scoring for the visitors. Ruddington Village won 3-2 away at Beeston, Rudd’s goals coming from Newbold and a double from Hudson. Jude and McCormack replied for Beeston. Boots Athletic earned their first win under manager Chris Galley by beating basement club Kirton Brickworks 7-0. Blair led the way with four goals, Palmer got two and Jackson one. On Friday evening, Burton Joyce fought back from 2-0 down to win away at Bilborough Town. Webster scored both the Town goals whilst in return Sam Buckle got a brace and his brother Marc notched once. In Division One, Newark Flowserve still top the table after a 2-2 draw at home against Ashland Rovers. Boddy and Bosworth were the Flowserve scorers, Fisher and Smith on target for Rovers. Underwood Villa, four points behind in second, with 3 games in hand, failed to close the gap when drawing 1-1 at home to Linby CW Reserves. Smith scored for Villa, Price replied for Linby. Third placed Ruddington Village Reserves had a good day with a 5-2 win over Gedling Southbank. Richardson grabbed a hat-trick for the Villagers alongside goals from Dunstan and Burke-Campbell. Coy and Pickard netted for Southbank. Fowler and Douglas both scored twice in Netherfield Albion’s 5-1 win over Hucknall Rolls Leisure Reserves. Kemp was the other Albion scorer, Tring got Rolls’ consolation. Nottinghamshire bounced back from losing their last three games to beat South Normanton Athletic Reserves by the odd goal in five. Brannington, Hylton and Hope scored for Notts whilst the visitors’ goals both came from Burton. Radcliffe Olympic Reserves, who had lost their previous seven league matches, returned home from Awsworth Villa Reserves with a share of the points following an eight goal thriller. Villa’s scorers were Scott (2), Morledge and Hicklin, Olympic replied through Mantezolo, Soiza, Brown and Griggs. Just three games took place in Division Two but there were plenty of goals. AFC Clifton led the way by scoring 11 without reply away at Underwood Villa Reserves. Both Richards and Foster helped themselves to hat-tricks. Brookes netted four times as Watnall Athletic won 8-0 at home against struggling Sandhurst Reserves. Bilborough Town Reserves drew 2-2 at home with Newark Town Reserves. There’s a Friday night fixture in the Precision NSL this week as Bilborough Town entertain Burton Joyce at the Brian Wakefield Ground, Lenton Lane (7.30pm kick-off). The sides drew 2-2 in the reverse fixture last week, with Bilborough missing a last minute penalty.

Wollaton took advantage of West Bridgford’s match being postponed to move three points clear at the top following a 10-0 victory over bottom club Kirton Brickworks.
There were seven different scorers plus an own goal, for a Wollaton side that were missing seven first team regulars, with Brian Stark and Adam Campbell notching twice. With just six games of the season remaining Wollaton are now in pole position to win their first title since 2006. Cotgrave are back up to fourth after a 2-1 win away at Beeston. Ben Smedley stole the points for the visitors with an injury time winner, his second of the game. Jason Jude had cancelled out Smedley’s first strike in the opening period. Bilborough Town came from behind twice to draw 2-2 away at Burton Joyce. Ashley Moorcroft and Sam Buckle had twice put BJ ahead only for Liam Webster and Tariq Nadif to equalise. Town could have taken all three points but Craig McMorran missed an injury time penalty. Ruddington Village and Boots Athletic also shared the points in a 2-2 draw. Leigh Sissons and Phil Bignall were on target for Village, Alan Palmer got both goals for The Chemists. Awsworth Villa made it three wins out of four as they came from behind to record a 3-2 victory away at Sandhurst. Stef Frost and Adam Bradford helped the home side to go in at the break 2-1 to the good but two goals from Danny Towle and one from Matt Walker gave Villa the points. It was top versus bottom in Division One as Newark Flowserve entertained Awsworth Villa Reserves. Order was maintained as four goals from Mason Love helped Flowserve to a 6-0 win. Sam Betts and George Paling were also on target. Underwood Villa remain four points off first, with three games in hand, as they won 3-0 away at Nottinghamshire. Mack Smith, Sam Tring and Tim Berridge were the Villa scorers. It was 0-0 at half time between Linby Colliery Welfare Reserves and Magdala Amateurs then in two remarkable second half minutes Aaron Potter scored two goals for Linby, both hitting the net directly from corner kicks. Ross Cheeseman rounded off the scoring for Welfare to give them a 3-0 win. Ruddington Village Reserves won 3-2 away at Ashland Rovers. Mark Evans got both Rovers’ goals but they were cancelled out by a hat-trick from Sam Rothwell. A James Crawford strike was sufficient for Netherfield Albion to see off Southwell City Reserves. In Division Two, Kimberley Miners Welfare AFC closed the gap to Aspley Park at the top to six points, with three games in hand, following a 2-0 win over Bilborough United. Danny Walsh and Ben Greenhalgh were the Welfare scorers. FC Samba won by the odd goal in nine against Ashland Rovers Reserves. The win lifted Wollaton to level on points with West Bridgford at the top, but with one game in hand on their rivals, who have the superior goal difference. Wollaton have arguably the easier run in so will be hopeful of claiming the title for the first time since 2006. Kaiden Burke-Campbell put the visitors ahead in the first half with a long range effort. A Jamie Brooks header levelled the scores after the break and with time running out Mason Love sealed the points for Flowserve on his home debut. Underwood Villa remain second, seven points adrift but with four games in hand, after they won 3-1 away at Radcliffe Olympic Reserves. Joshes Hunt (2) and Niblett scored for Villa, Matthew Gamble for Olympic. Nick Labbate put Wollaton Reserves ahead at Kimberley Miners Welfare Reserves but Jack Tucker equalised for the hosts to ensure the points were shared. Gedling Southbank were convincing 5-1 winners over Hucknall Rolls Leisure Reserves. The Southbank goals were shared between Patrick Bakone, Adam Thomas, Mo Elmaghrbi, Luke Pickard and Darren Gent. Andy Start got Hucknall’s consolation. Linby Colliery Welfare Reserves’ captain Ross Cheeseman salvaged a point for his side away at Ashland Rovers. Cheeseman struck twice in the last three minutes, adding to Kirk Savage’s earlier effort, to make the score 3-3. Dave Fisher, Christian Watson and Gary Castledine got the Rovers goals. Bottom team Awsworth Villa claimed their third win of the season with 2-1 victory over Nottinghamshire. Juan Vickers and Luke Grinham were on target for Villa, Jack Vernon for Notts. The top two in Division Two faced off, with leaders Aspley Park coming out on top against Kimberley Miners Welfare AFC 4-1.
