In the Precision Nottinghamshire Senior League Premier Division, leaders Clifton All Whites maintained a nine point gap at the top as they eventually managed to win 4-2 against a resilient Sandiacre Town. Ben Clark gave Clifton a first half lead before Charlie Goodwin equalised midway through the second period. Things weren’t level for long, however, as Connor Hardy soon restored the home side’s advantage. There was then late drama as, first, Bradley Mellors restored parity before Clark got his second and Lavell White sealed the victory for Clifton.
Bilborough Town kept pace in second as half time substitute Ricky Law helped them to a 3-0 win at FC Cavaliers. Lyam Webster was the other scorer. Jake Fisher scored a hat-trick for Wollaton in their 3-2 win over Cotgrave that lifts them to level on points with third place Awsworth Villa. Shaun Jackson netted for Cotgrave. AFC Dunkirk made it four wins on the trot as they overcame Real United 4-2. Pierce Bird bagged a brace alongside Joe Ellis and Sam Harbottle efforts for Dunkirk; Daniel Dixon and Alex Bowles for Real. Newark Flowserve’s run of four league victories was halted by Bingham Town, however, with the visitors running out 2-0 winners thanks to a double from 18 year old Toby Stevenson. Aston United were also 2-0 away winners, at Attenborough. Mark Green and Shay Wiggins the scorers. It was a goal and a point apiece for Underwood Villa and Nottingham Trent University. Adam Murphy was on target for Villa, Enricque McCorkle for NTU. Basford United Community won 4-1 at Unity. In Division One, leaders Calverton Miners Welfare took a step closer to securing the title with a 3-0 win at Awsworth Villa Reserves. Jason Hodson (2) and David Corder were the scorers. Second placed Kimberley Miners Welfare went down 3-1 at home to Ashland Rovers. Paul Revuelta, Alex England and Thomas Barnes notched for Rovers, Keanu Stevenson with Kimberley’s reply. Gedling Southbank are up to third following their 2-1 win over Birchover Park. Nick Edgar and Luke Pickard scored for GSB, Gary Harris replied for Birchover. An early strike from Steven Cullis gave Keyworth United Reserves a 1-0 win over Kirton Brickworks and a late Marius Mihai effort secured the points for Netherfield Albion at Ruddington Village Reserves. Bilborough United won by the odd goal in seven at AFC Clifton. In Division Two, Ravenshead ensured the will finish in the top three with a 3-0 win at Bilsthorpe Reserves. Selston Reserves bounced back from their midweek NSL Junior Cup semi-final defeat in fine style, seeing off Bingham Town Reserves 6-1 and a last minute equaliser for Aslockton Cranmers gave them a 1-1 draw with Mansfield Hosiery Mills.
