In the Samba Nottinghamshire Senior League, supported by Euro Soccer Company, Stapleford Town now need just 11 points from seven games to secure the Premier Division title following a 3-1 win at Keyworth United. Adam Hassell put Stapleford ahead and Ben Clark doubled the lead approaching half time. Ryan Tinsley gave Keyworth a lifeline five minutes after the restart however Benjamin Smedley restored the two goal advantage for good on 66 minutes.
Second placed Bingham Town came away from Southwell City with a 1-0 win courtesy of Jake Hardy. Jake Fisher bagged a brace for Awsworth Villa in their 4-0 win over Radcliffe Olympic. Daniel Towle and Liam Baker were also on target. Two goals apiece from Lee Potts and Ryan Thorpe gave Cotgrave a 4-1 win at Magdala Amateurs. Tom Haw with the Budgies’ consolation. Calverton Miners Welfare won 4-2 at FC Cavaliers with their goals shared between Matt Corbett, Jack Harrison, Mathew Newton and Harry Simpson. Kamar Davis and Arnyda Wenazo replied for Cavs. Wollaton beat AFC Dunkirk 3-1 with goals from Joshua Stevenson, Sam Mellor and Reece Strode. Danny Blanchard netted for Dunkirk. A Blaise Duruaku double helped Sandiacre Town on their way to a 5-1 victory at Attenborough. Owen Hayes, Jordan Smith and James Allen also scored; Leyton Nethercot replied for Boro.
