In the Precision Nottinghamshire Senior League Premier Division, leaders Bilborough Town were away at Unity. It was always likely to be a tight affair as the two sides have met twice already, once in the league and once in the cup, with a win apiece both by a score of 1-0. Saturday was no exception as Jake Kane grabbed the only goal of the game in the second half to give Bilborough the 1-0 win.
Awsworth Villa are keeping pace in second, they’re six points behind Bilborough but with two games in hand, as they came away from Sandiacre Town with a 2-1 victory. Matt Walker and Ryan Whitehurst got Villa’s goals in the first half. Jake Fisher, Dan Chadwick and Liam Towle were all on target for Wollaton as they beat Ruddington Village 3-1. Wollaton’s Ryan Krause received his marching orders for two bookable offences. Aston United have continued their decent start to life in the NSL with a 2-0 win over Underwood Villa. Tom Teece and Jordan Sanders were the scorers. Corbi Brown grabbed a hat-trick for Clifton All Whites in their 5-1 win over Newark Flowserve. Connor Hardy and substitute Courtney Hastings also netted for Clifton, Carlos Vagaroso with Newark’s consolation. AFC Dunkirk scored two in each half to take the 4-0 victory at Magdala Amateurs. Tim Berridge scored either side of half time alongside McKenna Parton in the first half and Samuel Harbottle in the second. Lee Potts found the net four times for Cotgrave as they overcame Attenborough 5-0. Shane Brumpton was the other scorer. Real United versus Basford United Community and Nottingham Trent University versus Bingham Town both finished 1-1. In Division One, leaders Calverton Miners Welfare moved five points clear at the top with a 2-1 win over third placed AFC Bridgford. Jamie Humphries and Adam Limb were on target for Calverton. Netherfield Albion recorded their second win of the season in dramatic fashion away at Ashland Rovers where the score was 3-3 in the closing stages before Marius Mihai grabbed the late winner for Albion. Bilborough United versus Southwell City Reserves was another close affair but neither side could find a winner as it finished 3-3. Thomas O’Regan (2) and Roland Tomlinson scored for United, Blair Bryant, Calum Law and Liam Wilkinson for City. Gedling Southbank won 2-0 at Kimberley Miners Welfare Reserves and Birchover Park were 1-0 victors at Kirton Brickworks. In the NSL Junior Cup, Bejan Pakrouz and Juan Vickers gave Awsworth Villa a 2-0 win at Ruddington Village Reserves while Underwood Villa Reserves, without a win in Division Two this season, overturned a 3-1 half time deficit against First Division Clifton All Whites Reserves to win 6-3. Steven Radzynski bagged a brace as Selston Reserves knocked out Basford United Community Reserves 5-0 and Bingham Town Reserves beat Radcliffe Olympic Reserves 4-1. In Division Two, Pierce Hallam and Dominic Williams both netted four times for Aslockton Cranmers as they won 16-1 at Beeston.
