Robin Hood Colts make it into the Junior Cup FinalIn the Samba Nottinghamshire Senior League, supported by Euro Soccer Company, Robin Hood Colts were the first team to seal their place in a league cup final following their 1-0 win over Ruddington Village Reserves in the NSL Junior Cup semi-final at Sherwood Fields. Daniel Tyson struck in the second half and his side held on for the win.
In the Premier Division, Bingham Town are up to second following a 4-0 win over Attenborough, with goals from Mike Jepps (2), Jay Archer and Jake Hardy. Aslockton & Orston battled to a 3-2 win over Gedling Southbank. James Hallam gave The Cranmers the lead inside five minutes but Thomas Jeffries levelled soon after. A Julian Joachim double gave Aslockton some breathing space before the interval. Jeffries got his second on 88 minutes to make for a nervy finish but the hosts held on. FC Cavaliers won by a similar scoreline against Magdala Amateurs with a David Kolapo brace helping them on their way. Zibusiso Sibanda the other Cavs scorer. In a game where the pendulum continually swung from team to team, Wollaton were eventual 4-3 winners over Radcliffe Olympic with Greg Wedge completing his hat-trick in the dying moments to seal the points. Ryan Bowen was also on target for Wollo; Jordan Wright (2) and Morgan Remnant for Radcliffe. In Division One, Bestwood Miners Welfare and Ravenshead shared the spoils in a 2-2 draw. David Froggatt and Gary Harris netted for Bestwood, Brent Horton and Dan Phillips for Ravenshead. Southwell City Reserves came away from Radford Reserves with a 5-0 victory thanks to Samuel Robinson (2), Liam Gleeson, Tiernan Shevlin and Rory Brown. Mansfield Hosiery Mills won 4-0 against Wollaton Reserves while Henry Sainsbury’s hat-trick for Beeston wasn’t quite enough to claim all three points for his side, as they drew 4-4 with Awsworth Villa Reserves. In Division Two, AFC Top Valley stretched their lead to four points with a 3-0 win over Keyworth United Development and a Joshua Watts brace helped Stapleford Town Reserves edge past Nottingham Community 3-2. Clifton All Whites Development drew 1-1 with Bingham Town Reserves and Cotgrave Reserves won 4-1 at AFC Clifton. Comments are closed.
