In the Nottinghamshire Senior League Premier Division, Newark Flowserve’s 16th win in 16 matches took them 16 points clear at the top of the table. There were hat-tricks for each of Elliot King, Tyler Martin and Jamie Lloyd as Magdala Amateurs were brushed aside 10-0. Substitute Liam Moran was the other scorer.
Gedling Southbank overturned a 1-0 half-time deficit to come away from Wollaton with a smash-and-grab 2-1 win. Jake Fisher had put the hosts ahead but Nick Edgar and Caine Wood claimed the points for GSB. Awsworth Villa also came from behind to win 2-1 at Cotgrave. Sam Adams had put the home side ahead from the penalty spot after 50 minutes, before John Whitehurst levelled on the hour mark. Awsworth had the best of the final half an hour, and their pressure finally told with Matt Murphy heading the winner in the closing stages. Calverton Miners Welfare nearly let a three goal lead slip at home to Bilborough Town but after the visitors had pulled it back to 3-2 they managed to find a fourth to seal the game. Sam Buckle netted a hat-trick for Calvo, alongside a Barry Payne effort; Alex Lee and Liam Taylor were on target for Town. FC Cavaliers and Basford United Community drew 0-0. In Division One, after losing their unbeaten record last week Netherfield Albion returned to winning ways, seeing off bottom club Ruddington Village Reserves 2-0. Louis Tambini and Brent Horton were the scorers. Scott Litchfield scored all four of second-placed Keyworth United Reserves’ goals as they defeated Ravenshead 4-2. Tyler Lambert and Adam Martin netted for The Ravens. Stapleford Town kept pace in third with 4-1 win over Selston Reserves. The Stapleford goals were shared between Benjamin Smedley, Rikki Turner, Michael Robb and Mitchell Robinson. Callum McGarry replied for Selston. Kirton Brickworks remain unbeaten in the league since mid-September after they won 3-2 at Mansfield Hosiery Mills. Kieron Johnson (2) and Scott Ricketts notched for the Brickies; Aaron Turner got both for Mansfield. Daniel Bircumshaw, Kurtis Dudley and Lee Townsend helped Ashland Rovers to a 3-2 win against Southwell City Reserves. Robert Brown and Thomas Tyler were on target for City. Real Community overcame AFC Bridgford 3-0 with goals from Aswaan Allen (2) and Danni Jones. In Division Two, Markell Bailey scored a hat-trick for leaders Woodthorpe Park Rangers in their 7-0 victory over Mike Jepps netted four for Bingham Town Reserves in their 5-0 win over Magdala Amateurs Reserves.
