It’s first versus second in the Nottinghamshire Senior League Premier Division as Southwell City welcome Awsworth Villa to the War Memorial Ground. Villa will be looking to end Southwell’s 100% record and, if they can win by four goals, could also leapfrog them in the table.
Stapleford Town are also looking to maintain their 100% record but currently sit only sixth in the table by virtue of having played the fewest games in the division. They travel to Butt Field to take on Bingham Town. Third placed Cotgrave will look to capitalise on any slip up by Awsworth Villa as they head to St Giles to play Sandiacre Town, who are celebrating the club’s 40th anniversary. Eastwood CFC Development and FC Cavaliers are also vying to get into the top two, they travel to Wharf Lane to face Radcliffe Olympic and the WSA to face Wollaton respectively. Keyworth United will attempt to make it three league wins on the trot as they welcome Attenborough to Platt Lane while Gedling Southbank go in search of their first win as they make the trip to the Ron Steel Sports Ground to play AFC Dunkirk. In a four o’clock kick-off Bilborough Town will also try to pick up their first three points of the campaign with Aslockton & Orston the visitors to the Harvey Hadden Stadium. In Division One, with leaders Woodthorpe Park Rangers in Nottinghamshire FA Senior Trophy action at Sherwood Colliery Reserves, Basford United Community will look to jump into top spot as they host Kirton Brickworks at Greenwich Avenue. Ravenshead are missing Adam Martin for their trip to Leyton Crescent to play Beeston, while Liam Walton and Scott Graham return to the squad after work commitments. Ryan Faulconbridge was rested by the Reds in midweek but is looking to start once again. AFC Bridgford put their somewhat symmetrical record (won two, drawn two, lost two, scored 12, conceded 12) on the line against Wollaton Reserves at Gresham Sports Park while Radford Reserves welcome Selston Reserves to the CDW Arena. Two teams that met in the Premier Division last term, Kimberley Miners Welfare and Ruddington Village, go head-to-head at the Stag Ground. Awsworth Villa Reserves entertain Bestwood Miners Welfare at The Shilo and Mansfield Hosiery Mills host Southwell City Reserves at The Fieldings. In Division Two, leaders Stapleford Town Reserves welcome Bingham Town Reserves to Hickings Lane. Ravenshead Reserves are hopeful that Tyler Lambert and Dean Walker will be fit after missing last weekend’s game, while Tom Lockey also returns after being away, as second placed AFC Clifton make the trip to Cornwater.
