In the Precision Nottinghamshire Senior League it is Junior Cup Final day as Kimberley Miners Welfare Reserves and Awsworth Villa Reserves meet at St Giles Park, Sandiacre, 3pm kick-off. Kimberley are attempting to win the trophy for an unprecedented third season on the trot. Awsworth’s record in the competition hasn’t been as good in recent times, having gone out in the first round in each of the last three seasons, but they will be trying to emulate their first team’s achievements of last year in taking knock-out silverware back to The Shilo.
In the Premier Division, Clifton All Whites secured the title last weekend so are holding a Champions Day at the Norman Archer Memorial Ground for the visit of Bilborough Town. They will be holding a barbecue with live entertainment. At the other end of the table Unity need to win both of their last two games to have any hope of escaping last place. They entertain Magdala Amateurs at Roko. Aston United welcome Nottingham Trent University to Digby Street and Real United host Ruddington Village at the Inspire Stadium. In Division One, champions Calverton Miners Welfare conclude their season with a trip to Elms Park to play Ruddington Village Reserves. One of the secrets of Calvo’s success could have been having a fairly settled side as there have only been 16 different starters in the team all season. Top appearance-maker Jamie Humphries is missing from this last squad but top scorer Sam Buckle will be hoping to add to his tally of 28 goals. Comments are closed.
