In the Samba Nottinghamshire Senior League, supported by Euro Soccer Company, the Senior Cup gets underway with the holders, Southwell City, travelling to the WSA to face Wollaton to kick off the defence of their trophy.
There are four other all-Premier Division ties as current table-toppers Burton Joyce entertain Eastwood CFC Development at the Poplars, Keyworth United host Cotgrave at Platt Lane, Magdala Amateurs and FC Cavaliers meet at Roko and Bilborough Town welcome Aslockton & Orston to the Harvey Hadden Stadium. Division One leaders West Bridgford AFC face a stern test as they travel to the Ron Steel Sports Ground to play AFC Dunkirk, who are third in the top flight. One place above Dunkirk are Bingham Town, they head to Eagle Valley to play Gedling Southbank from the division below. Other teams hoping for an upset victory are Robin Hood Colts and Beeston who travel to Attenborough and Sandiacre Town respectively. There are two all-Division One ties, Ravenshead entertain Ruddington Village at Cornwater with Ryan Faulconbridge definitely missing, although striker Evan Morley could be in line for a debut whilst Mark Smallwood pushes for his first start, and Hucknall Town Development and AFC Top Valley meet at Watnall Road. There is just the one Premier Division game as Awsworth Villa look to make it three games unbeaten with Woodthorpe Park Rangers, who dropped points for the first time last week, the visitors to the Shilo. In Division One, Radcliffe Olympic will attempt to make it three wins on the spin as Kimberley Miners Welfare come to Wharf Lane and Radford Reserves can move into top spot with a win over Kirton Brickworks at the CDW Arena. There are two matches in the NSL Junior Cup involving Division One sides: Stapleford Town Reserves welcome Southwell City Reserves to Hickings Lane and Wollaton Reserves head to Basil Russell Park to play Pythian. In Division Two it’s first versus second as Cotgrave Reserves host Keyworth United Reserves at Woodview while Clifton All Whites Development are in Nottinghamshire FA Senior Trophy action as they entertain AFC Villa at Rushcliffe.
