The final set of fixtures of 2018 in the Samba Nottinghamshire Senior League, supported by Euro Soccer Company, kick off on Friday night with two Division One clashes: Basford United Community host Awsworth Villa Reserves at Greenwich Avenue and Selston Reserves entertain Bridgford United at the Parish Hall Ground.
On Saturday in the Premier Division, Southwell City are already guaranteed to head into the new year in pole position and will attempt to cement that place as they travel to St Giles to play Sandiacre Town. Stapleford Town are coming up on the rails, having four games in hand over Southwell. They will continue their pursuit of top spot when they travel to The Shilo to play third placed Awsworth Villa. Cotgrave, in fourth, are on the same number of points as the two teams above them and will stay in the mix if they can get something from their trip to The Forest to take on FC Cavaliers. Aslockton & Orston left it late to snatch a point at local rivals Bingham Town last time out. They head to the WSA to play Wollaton while Bingham make the short trip to Wharf Lane to take on Radcliffe Olympic. After a run of three victories, Bilborough Town were brought back to earth by Stapleford last weekend, they will look to get back to winning ways as they host AFC Dunkirk at the Harvey Hadden Stadium. Magdala Amateurs welcome Calverton Miners Welfare to Roko. On Saturday in Division One, Ravenshead entertain Wollaton Reserves at Cornwater, looking to build on last week’s win. Steve Shuttleworth is rated 50/50 for the Reds and a late decision will be made on his availability; Perris Thomas will look to return to the squad but Brent Horton is definitely out. Leaders Woodthorpe Park Rangers will be attempting to make it to the new year unbeaten as they travel to Leyton Crescent to play Beeston. It’s fourth versus second as Kirton Brickworks host Burton Joyce at Station Road. Ruddington Village welcome Bestwood Miners Welfare to Elms Park. In Division Two, Ravenshead Reserves travel to AFC Top Valley with captain Lee Pinner fit again. Dan Hurst is a big doubt after an injury picked up on first team duty while Callum Disley is pushing for a start. Comments are closed.
