In the Nottinghamshire Senior League, the Premier Division resumes this week following a break for Senior Cup action last weekend. AFC Dunkirk get things underway on Friday night as they host Underwood Villa at the Ron Steel Sports Ground and league leaders Newark Flowserve will attempt to preserve their 100% record as they make the trip to Hollinwood Lane to play Gedling Southbank.
On Saturday it’s the NG8 derby with Bilborough Town making the short trip to the WSA to face Wollaton. Town add new signing Chris Rhodes to their ranks and have a full squad to chose from bar Richard Johnson. Southwell City are looking to extend a four game unbeaten run as they welcome Magdala Amateurs to the War Memorial Ground. After coming from behind to defeat lower division opposition in the cup, last time out, FC Cavaliers travel to Butt Field to play Bingham Town, who were more convincing winners over Premier Division opposition. Sandiacre Town will try to make amends for their cup exit to Division One Ashland Rovers as they entertain Awsworth Villa at St Giles. Sandiacre won the reverse fixture 5-0 in August. Kimberley Miners Welfare AFC’s new management duo of Jamie Chaplin and Andy Miller take their side to The Strand as Attenborough begin their home campaign. The Junior Cup gets underway with Division Two Sneinton Town looking to extend their run of three home wins at the Inspire Stadium against higher tier opposition in the form of Wollaton Reserves. Also hoping to cause a cup upset are Keyworth United Development, who travel to the Shilo to take on Awsworth Villa Reserves, and Barrowby, who entertain Southwell City Reserves at Lowfield. In Division One, leaders Stapleford Town, after suffering their first defeat of the season last time out, will look to bounce back as they welcome Ravenshead to Hickings Lane. It’s second versus third as Netherfield Albion and Keyworth United Reserves go head-to-head. Beeston Rylands make the trip to Kingsway Park to play last weekend’s big winners in the cup, Ashland Rovers.
