In the Samba Nottinghamshire Senior League, supported by Euro Soccer Company, it will be a poignant occasion at Wollaton Reserves versus Radford Reserves in Division One as they celebrate the life of Frank Hunt, who was involved with the club and grassroots football for over 50 years, including being instrumental in setting up the NSL, after he sadly passed away earlier this week. There will be a minute’s applause before all matches this weekend to commemorate a man who was held in such high regard by everyone involved in local football.
In the Premier Division, unbeaten leaders will attempt to maintain that record as they head to the Harvey Hadden Stadium to play Bilborough Town. The division’s only other side yet to lose are AFC Dunkirk who travel to Roko to face Magdala Amateurs. Tied with AFC Dunkirk on 19 points but with a superior goal difference, are Bingham Town, who make the rip to Hollinwood Lane to take on Calverton Miners Welfare. Calvo will be without the suspended Andrew Smith after he was sent off against Eastwood CFC Development so George Scrivener returns to the squad in his place. Attenborough are looking to bounce back from a 6-0defeat last time out as they welcome Southwell City to The Strand while Cotgrave and Stapleford Town meet at Woodview. Aslockton & Orston entertain FC Cavaliers at Spa Lane. Woodthorpe Park Rangers and Awsworth Villa begin their NSL Senior Cup journeys when they meet at Greenwich Avenue. Elsewhere in Division One, Ravenshead will hand a debut to Mike Randall for their game at Eagle Valley against AFC Top Valley. He will become the clubs sixth goalkeeper this season after the gloveman arrived from Hucknall Town. Definitely out is Paul Smith but Ryan Faulconbridge returns along with Jamie Vaughan. Radcliffe Olympic go in search of their fourth win on the trot since Joe Hegarty took the reins as they travel to Regatta Way to play West Bridgford AFC while Kirton Brickworks host Bridgford United at Station Road. Beeston entertain Kimberley Miners Welfare Reserves at Leyton Crescent and Southwell City Reserves welcome Robin Hood Colts to the Memorial Ground. Two NSL sides meet at Watnall Road in the Nottinghamshire FA Senior Trophy in the form of Hucknall Town Development and Basford United Community. Comments are closed.
