In the Samba Nottinghamshire Senior League, supported by Euro Soccer Company, leaders Southwell City welcome and AFC Dunkirk to the War Memorial Ground. Dunkirk had an impressive victory over top four side Awsworth Villa last time out. If Southwell fail to win it would open the door for Stapleford Town to possibly move into top spot if they get a positive result from their trip to Wharf Lane to face Radcliffe Olympic.
Awsworth failed to get back on track in midweek as they lost at Eastwood CFC Development. They will try to return to winning ways as FC Cavaliers visit The Shilo while Eastwood will look to take their form into their encounter with Bingham Town at Butt Field. Bingham are on a 12 game unbeaten run in the league, the first match in that sequence being a 2-1 win over Eastwood at the end of September. Also on an unbeaten run are Aslockton & Orston, they will be trying to make it five matches since they last tasted defeat as they welcome Cotgrave to Spa Lane. Calverton Miners Welfare add Sam Buckle, Corey Ashley and Brinsley Kirkham to the squad from their incident packed match against Stapleford Town last weekend as Sandiacre Town are the visitors to Hollinwood Lane. Attenborough let a two goal lead slip against Aslockton last time out, they entertain Magdala Amateurs at The Strand while Gedling Southbank head to Platt Lane to face Keyworth United. In Division One, leaders Woodthorpe Park Rangers continue their quest to stay unbeaten for the season as they face a trip to the WSA to take on 16th place Wollaton Reserves. Burton Joyce and Bridgford United are battling it out for second place, they host Radford Reserves and Kimberley Miners Welfare Reserves respectively. Ravenshead travel to the Parish Hall Ground to play Selston Reserves. They hope to be able to include Brent Horton for the first time in six weeks following an injury, also back are Perris Thomas, Mark Yates and Mark Smallwood but Liam Walton misses out. Youngster Adam Lewis has returned to the club he recently left to join the Reds. In Division Two, Ruddington Village Reserves and AFC Top Valley both have 44 points with the former taking first place on goal difference by only one. Ruddington travel to Sherwood Fields to face Robin Hood Colts while Top Valley host Barrowby at Hollinwood Lane. Ravenshead Reserves entertain Sneinton Town at Cornwater in a foot of the table battle, hoping to build on last weekend’s gritty performance at Stapleford Town Reserves. The Reds hope to unveil a new signing before the game. Comments are closed.
