The Precision Nottinghamshire Senior League is proud to be working with the Nottinghamshire FA on referee development in the county. The NSL has partnered with In-Play Sports to film and analyse a number of fixtures during the season that can then be used in coaching sessions with the match officials involved, as well as in referee development more generally. The first such match is the Premier Division fixture between AFC Dunkirk and Nottingham Trent University on Tuesday evening at the Ron Steel Sports Ground.
It is believed to be a unique initiative for a league at Step 7 of the National League System. Dave Plowright, Head Coach of the Nottinghamshire FA Core Referees Group and level 3 referee, will be representing the County FA on Tuesday and has commented that “Filming and reviewing officials’ performances has proved priceless in higher levels of the game in recent times and it is exciting to be able to share this opportunity with Nottinghamshire’s referees”.
