The Precision Nottinghamshire Senior League reaches its conclusion this weekend with the finals of the Junior and Senior Cups.
South Normanton Town will be attempting to achieve the double of winning Division One and the Junior Cup when they face Kimberley Miners Welfare Reserves in the final this evening at the New Manor Ground, Ilkeston, kick-off 7.45pm. Kimberley are attempting to retain the trophy that they won for the first time last year. The final match of the whole season is the Senior Cup final on Saturday afternoon, 3pmkick-off, at the Ron Steel Sports Ground, Dunkirk. Real United and Awsworth Villa will both be battling to win the trophy for the first time in what will be a keen contest given the two sides finished in close proximity in the upper reaches of the Premier Division table. Real reached the final with a comfortable 3-1 win over Clifton All Whites in the semi-final with top scorer Tim Hopkinson bagging a brace. Awsworth edged out Newark Flowserve 2-1 in their semi-final, Ryan Whitehurst scoring the second half winner. Admission to each game is £3, concessions £1. Programmes are available.
