South Normanton Athletic Reserves have been 'rebranded' as South Normanton Town FC for the coming season. This is mainly to tap into more funding opportunities for the club. The ground at the M J Robinson Structures Arena, Lees Lane, has undergone more changes throughout the summer and is now up to Step 5 level. New dug outs have been installed and the surface is as good as ever. It is hoped that visitors to the stadium will enjoy the experience.
On the playing side, manager Sean Staton has secured more assistance and he and Chris Green will be looking for a better season after being blooded into the NSL last term. The squad is a well balanced mixture of youth and experience and they have many youngsters who are on the verge of stepping up to the senior side. Adam Gillott will be looking to further enhance his chances after being a prolific scorer towards the end of last season. Comments are closed.
