In the Precision Nottinghamshire Senior League Premier Division, leaders Bilborough Town took advantage of their nearest rivals being in Nottinghamshire FA Cup action to extend the gap at the top to seven points with a 2-0 win over Magdala Amateurs. Town had to rely on a man of the match performance from their goalkeeper Nick Ivanov to keep them on level terms in the first half but after the break they stole the points via a Ricky Cross free kick and Ricky Law finishing from close range.
Attenborough picked up their first win of the season and, in so doing, inflicted AFC Dunkirk’s first defeat. Boro were 3-1 victors thanks to Nick Knight, Jordan Smith and Jack Warner. Gus Bonnington replied for Dunkirk. Newark Flowserve ended a three game losing streak in the league as they defeated Basford United Community 3-2. Elliott King was the hat-trick hero for Newark, Joe Harrison and Jacub Tabreham netted for Basford. Bingham Town rescued a point away at Underwood Villa as a last minute own goal made it 2-2. Tom Spencer also scored for Bingham, who had been trailing to an Ash Foster strike and an own goal. There was one all-NSL tie in the Nottinghamshire FA Senior Cup. Despite having Tristram Whitman sent off, Real United knocked out Wollaton 2-1. Mario Lopez and Tom Richardson were the Real scorers, Jake Fisher pulled one back for Wollaton. Elsewhere, Clifton All Whites took NCEL side Ollerton Town to extra-time but were eventually edged out 2-1. Awsworth Villa came away from Bilsthorpe with a 3-1 win but Ruddington Village went down by a similar scoreline at Linby Colliery Welfare. Unity were knocked out by former NSL team Selston, 5-0. There were all-NSL games in the Notts FA Intermediate cup too. Immain Samuels grabbed a hat-trick for Premier Division FC Cavaliers in their 7-0 defeat of West Bridgford AFC from Division Two. There were two goals apiece for debutants Leon Bailey and Jake Rhodes for Nottingham Trent University as they knocked out Team DNF 4-3 and a James Needham hat-trick for Gedling Southbank saw off Kimberley Miners Welfare Reserves 3-1. The two NSL teams from just across the border had contrasting fortunes in the Derbyshire FA Senior Challenge Cup as Sandiacre Town were knocked out by Belper United of the EMCL 3-1, whereas Aston United were 8-3 winners at Holbrook St Michaels with Liam McCormack bagging a hat-trick. In Division One, leaders Wollaton Reserves kept their noses ahead with a 3-0 win over Keyworth United Reserves. Sam Buckle scored four for second-placed Calverton Miners Welfare as they defeated Clifton All Whites Reserves 8-1. Ruddington Village Reserves won by a similar scoreline at home to Kirton Brickworks. Jake Henson scored both of AFC Bridgford’s goals as they won 2-0 against Greenwood Meadows AFC to leapfrog their opponents into third. Ashland Rovers and Birchover Park shared the spoils with a 1-1 draw. In Division Two, Dominic Williams scored a hat-trick for second placed Aslockton Cranmers in their 5-2 victory over local rivals Greyhounders. Ravenshead moved into third by defeating Bingham Town Reserves 4-0. Beeston Reserves picked up their first win of the season, 7-2 against Underwood Villa Reserves. It was honours even between Mansfield Hosiery Mills and Radcliffe Olympic Reserves as it finished 2-2.
